Some more tournament statistics

We have added the yougolf live-scoring tool to our homepage. This is how it looks. Not enough red and yellow, and far to much dark blue. The CSA of +3 wasnt added for no reason. The course was tough and it was raining cats and dogs! There is one minor bug though in the leaderboard. The individual positions are counted wrong.
And then we added the match play scores per hole to our result sheets. Looks neat, doens't it?

Tournament statistics

I don't have the full statistics yet (average and mean per hole etc.). This is what I can tell you:

Eagles: None, Birdies: 29, and Pars: 375; leaves 784 holes with bogey and worse.

Most birdies played by Dan Bishop (4) and Stephanie Kirchmayr (3), most pars by Dan Farmer (12), Joshua Moses (12) and Sian James (12). Very balanced golf seen by Lauren Spray (9 bogeys, 9 pars). A total of 7 golfers played better than their handicap, 15 golfers played within their hcp-range (+2 strokes). At least after the CSA (competition stableford adjustment) of +3 was added. Never seen that before. As Steve mentioned the other day. A tournament full of firsts!

Wittelsbacher Finals 2010 - many first times

It was a solid tournament with many "first times".  For the first time we have a South African champion. For the first time there were Aussies from the Uni of Tasmania, which is at the most bottom-ish bottom part of Australia. There were no shuttle accidents, which is also a first time. Bournemouth, one of the strongest university golf teams in UK entered for the first time and James Pearson (Manchester) took over a couple of jobs during the weekend. Only Johannes "Mitch" Mitzscherlich (WFI-Ingolstadt) conflicts with the rule of the "first times". He played a marvelous 77, the second best stroke play score in the field. Since the inaugural tournament in 2006 Johannes has delivered top-5 stroke play results (78, 72, 76, 77) with one exception in 2008 (82). To compensate we've already planned a "first time" for the 2011 Wittelsbacher Finals. Team Manchester will work on the barbecue grills during the Welcome Dinner on the evening of the arrival day, should they qualify through the Arden Qualifier. For the exact same 45 minutes that it took us to cleanse their hostel room today and listen to the instructions of the warden afterwards.
