I like

Formal mail to the GCAA:
[...] We want the Students Matchplay event to be a global event, and a celebration of student golf from across the globe. It is all completely non-profit, and we organize this purely for the love of student golf and camaraderie. But to make this next step, we do need to 'crack America' and get more teams from their involved. We seem to be restricted by NCAA rules, which is why we contacted you in the first place for advice on the matter, and to see whether GCAA support would help us in the situation.[...]
very kind return mail to us:
[...] thanks for your mail today. [...] Your event certainly looks like something that American universities should become involved with.  [...] I would like to explore opportunities on how your tournament and GCAA could work together going forward.

Also, would like to hear your thoughts on ways we could help you. Any ideas both short term and long for the event.  [...] Also, our initiatives in Japan and now China are ongoing. Both countries have college systems based on the US model. Japan’s goes back 35 years and China’s is now emerging. [...] Maybe the idea of creating an event(s) in several countries going forward is something you would explore. All good things to discuss.

internal mail between orgacrew-members:
Forest of Arden 2012 = European qualifier (5 teams get to finals), US qualifier 2012 (at Sawgrass)(5 teams), African qualifier @ Sun City, South Africa (4 teams) Asian qualifier, Shanghai International (5 teams), Australian qualifier Royal Melbourne (5 teams). Finals @ Wittelsbacher??? I like!
